About Formux Lab

Formux Lab started at a whiteboard that kept turning into a chalkboard. Every design review seemed to end the same way: someone had a reward table that "felt off," and nobody could say why in numbers. So we started drawing — probability trees, distribution curves, outcome grids — until the feeling turned into a figure everyone could argue with. That habit became a course.

What we make

One thing, done well: a self-paced course and companion ebook called Probability for Game Designers, plus an optional worksheet pack for people who learn with their hands on the numbers. It covers expected value, how randomness actually works in software, drop rates, variance, and how to balance a reward table so it feels generous and fair at the same time.

Who it's for

You don't need a maths degree. If you're comfortable with percentages and you've ever wrestled a spreadsheet, you'll keep up.

What we believe

Intuition first, notation second. If an idea can't be drawn on a board, we don't trust it yet. Small, honest examples beat grand abstractions. And the math of a game should serve the fun, never the other way around — we teach how systems behave so you can make them kinder, clearer and more satisfying.

Where we are

We teach online, worldwide, and enrolled learners can book a short call when a table won't cooperate.
